Sidewalk Around MRT and LRT Area Will Be Widened

For the sake of passenger convenience, the all sidewalks in the capital began to be widened. One of them is located around MRT, LRT and BRT.

Here, the sidewalk is integrated with the fast train, MRT, LRT and BRT

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama cited the sidewalk that will be widened is in Senayan area.

"Here, the sidewalk is integrated with the fast train, MRT, LRT and BRT. Later, president wants the sidewalk to be widened until Patung Pemuda Senayan. The realizatio would be seen in January 2017," disclosed Basuki, after reviewing MRT project along with President, Joko Widodo, Friday (9/30).

This is the first time started in Senayan Roundabout until Monas as long as 7.7 km. But its implementation will be divided into several stages. The first stage will be done from HI Roundabout-Monas.

Especially for first stage, is targeted to be complete by the end of this year. While the widening from HI Roundabout-Semanggi, will be delayed temporarily, becasue its location is used for MRT project and Semanggi Interchanges.

"From Monas-HI Roolundabout, will be completed by the end of this year. But from HI Roundabout-Semanggi, we delay it first. Including trees, I show them to president where the sidewalk should be widened," he stated.
